In the past, the region of Petrovice was well known for its gold mining history. But nowadays it's more a great starting point for tourists and cyclotouristes thanks to the great connection to a network of tourist paths which can lead you to the nearby sightseeings, such as Hrad Kašperk, Velhartice and many others. You can ride a horse or try to descend the river Otava too. And in winter there are great possibilities for skiers nearby.
